Preparing the Home for Fall, By Amina Naru and Pamela Stokes Eggleston of Retreat to Spirit
At Retreat to Spirit, we are prepping for the fall by using indigenous wellness practices you may or may not be familiar with and starting some new rituals that link back to our grandmothers and ancestors.
The Fall Equinox, also known as the autumnal equinox, is the moment when day and night are of equal length, and the Sun is directly above the Equator. This is the beginning of Fall or Autumn - a great time to prepare your home and yourself for the season.
Your home is an extension of your energetic field, which includes the spaces you inhabit. This is why it's essential to practice cleaning your home, rearranging furniture, organizing closets, and getting rid of things that clutter your space. This practice can have a profound impact on your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
